The GEM HAWK


The lightweight GEM Hawk (Helicopter) is well suited to
lift the GEM AirBIRD for robust UAV aerial magnetic surveying

The GEM Hawk is a fully functional UAV Helicopter with drone flight control and self-stabilization. GPS guidance, automatic RTL, and even Waypoint capability make this autonomous solution an easy and efficient survey method. Vertical Take Off & Launch (VTOL) makes this platform ideal for taking off in the bush, and flying just over top of trees and topography.

A helicopter UAV is simple compared to a conventional airplane, because the operator does not need to plan for often complicated take-off procedures and landing zones. It also has a minimum of moving parts. Not only does this make it more reliable and easy to maintain, but also more compact and light-weight. One other benefit of the compactness of the power train unit is that it results in very flexible payload and battery areas.

The GEM Hawk is our preferred UAV for the AirBIRD turnkey solution, and ships ready to fly with a rugged flight case.

The MONARCH

The MONARCH Fixed Wing Gradiometer utilises (2) GSMP-35U/25U high sensitivity magnetometers to provide gradient survey capability. This system requires a short take off and landing area. It can fly at 70 km / hr for flights of 1 hr duration.
Features:

  • Integrated gradiometer with GPS Navigation, Terrain clearance monitoring and data acquisition system for mineral exploration.
  • 1.5 hour range with 70 km/hr cruise speed.

The MONARCH Fixed Wing Gradiometer (Model GEM GSMP-35UT/25UT) includes:


The MONARCH is a fully autonomous UAV gradiometer
    • Two (2) GSMP-35U/25U Potassium Magnetometer sensors
    • Attitude sensor (for aircraft attitude determination)
    • GEMDAS data acquisition and power distribution system

Navigation subsystem

    • GPS Receiver with Antenna
    • Integrated Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU)

Ancillary devices

    • Micro Laser altimeter

Data Transfer and Visualization Software

    • GEMLink+ data display and communication software
    • Grad Comp 32 term Post-flight magnetic compensation software

  • Training on the operation of the geophysical system payload, guidance base station and remote control operation of the UAV
